Penmac Staffing is urgently hiring Local CDL Drivers for a long‑established company in Springfield, MO. This is a full‑time, direct-hire opportunity working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pay starts at $21 per hour.
Requirements for the Local CDL Driver
- Valid CDL-A or CDL-B license
- Will take New CDLA or CDLB Driver
- Must be able to drive manual and automatic transmission trucks
- Must be willing to submit to a criminal background check and motor vehicle record check
- Current DOT medical card required
- Strong work history and reliability
- Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting shingles and assisting with rooftop deliveries
- Must be able to lift 75-100 pounds repeatedly (your most common cargo will be 70-pound bundles of shingles)
- Must be able to work on rooftops
- Pre-employment DOT drug screens
- Conveyor truck experience is preferred, but not required
Local CDL Driver Responsibilities
- Work in a lumber yard environment and make local deliveries to homes and businesses
- Assist with unloading shingles from the truck and placing them onto a conveyor belt
- Rotate with a helper to carry shingles onto roofs as needed
- Represent the company with professionalism and safe driving practices
- Operate manual and automatic trucks
- Deliver excellent customer service while interacting with clients on-site
