Description
American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient acute rehabilitation unit, requiring 2+ years of experience and BLS certification.
Details
- Inpatient rehabilitation department within an acute care hospital setting
- 40-bed unit, including a 12-bed TBI unit
- Adult patient population (18+) with a 5:1 patient ratio
- Common diagnoses include CVA, BKA/AKA, hip and knee replacements, brain injury, spinal cord injury, debility, and cardiac conditions
- Specialized equipment includes Vectra Bioness Gait Training System, Bionik Arm, Synaptic, Lite Gait, Saebo, and Ekso Skeleton (coming soon)
- Cerner EHR system used
- Monday through Saturday schedule, 8am-5pm shifts
- Weekend coverage required one weekend (Saturday and Sunday) per month based on census and patient needs
Requirements
- Discipline-specific Occupational Therapist license required if applicable
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Prior inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred
- Flexible, team-oriented personality preferred
Additional Information
- Work as part of an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team treating a variety of complex diagnoses
- Black scrubs required
- Report time is 8am with parking available in front of the facility
- Candidates must live more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Local candidates may be considered at a local rate
- Candidates cannot have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months
- Candidates cannot be employed elsewhere full time
