Job Title: Shipyard HVAC Technician

Pay: $34.00

Sign on bonus: $1,000

Responsibilities

Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and construction information.
Lay out ductwork, fittings, hangers, penetrations, and related HVAC components.
Measure, fabricate, cut, and install ductwork and fittings with minimal supervision.
Mark locations, shoot pins, and install insulation on ductwork, deckheads, side shells, and beams.
Measure, build, and install equipment pads.
Fabricate and install pipe-covering fittings and lagging with minimal visible seams.
Fabricate sheet metal using shears and brakes.
Mount and install HVAC equipment, valves, and air hangers.
Transport drawings and required materials to the jobsite and complete assigned work with minimal supervision.
Accurately read metric and standard tape measures.
Follow proper safety procedures and maintain tools and work areas.

Qualifications

5 years of shipyard experience
Working knowledge of HVAC practices, methods, materials, and equipment.
Knowledge of industrial insulation and sheet-metal fabrication.
Basic mechanical skills and trade mathematics.
Ability to read mechanical drawings and blueprints.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
