Description
American Traveler is seeking an Outpatient Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of experience to treat neuro/ortho and medically complex patients at a Level II Trauma, Magnet-designated hospital.
Details
- Outpatient PT setting within an acute care hospital
- Treats neuro/ortho and medically complex patient populations
- Day shift schedule, 4x10 or 5x8 hours, no weekends except some Saturdays
- No on-call requirements
- Epic EMR used for charting
- Scrubs provided by facility
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience required
- Current BLS certification required
- Active Alaska PT license required (or compact license in hand at submission); license required if applicable
- Experience with neuro and orthopedic conditions including post-op spinal, shoulder, and hip/knee replacement preferred
- Experience treating cognitive disorders, MS, Parkinson's, stroke, TBI, and spinal cord injury preferred
- Skilled in home exercise program development and patient/family education
- Epic charting experience required

- Facility is a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma acute care hospital recognized as a top hospital in Alaska
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Candidates must commit to working 3 of 5 major holidays
- All requested time off must be submitted upfront during the application process, as post-offer requests may not be accommodated
- Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required
- Former permanent staff may return as a traveler after a 3-month waiting period
- Local candidates within 50 miles of the facility are not accepted for the travel rate
- Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities as needed
