Job Summary:
Outpatient Physical Therapist (PT OP) position located in the area. This role involves evaluating patients, establishing measurable treatment goals for functional outcomes, and developing appropriate therapy programs for adult and pediatric patients. The position requires providing patient education, documentation, and effective communication with other healthcare providers to support patient recovery and discharge planning.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift with 8 hours per day and a minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited Physical Therapy Program; licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; current BLS certification; 1 year of experience in outpatient physical therapy.
- Preferred Qualifications: Documentation of Specialist Certification; experience serving as a clinical resource and assisting in the supervision of staff or students; prior experience in outpatient settings.
- Additional Information: Evaluates new patients, conducts diagnostic muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests to assess impairment, and develops treatment plans based on patient progress. Provides guidance and education to patients and families on therapeutic procedures. Assists in training new personnel and supports department quality improvement initiatives.
