Job Title

Travel Registered Nurse – Cardiac Telemetry (Night Shift)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | 13 Weeks | Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 48 Hours Guaranteed per Week

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 29-bed Cardiac Telemetry unit with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Read and interpret EKG rhythms and telemetry strips on an ongoing basis
• Provide post-cardiac procedural care including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-op Day 1 open heart surgery, and permanent pacemaker placements
• Administer and titrate IV medications including insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone
• Perform and assist with unit procedures including IV insertions, NGT placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemaker management, and Foley insertions
• Document accurately using Meditech and communicate effectively using Imobile; adhere to patient experience standards including bedside shift report and patient engagement practices

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in Missouri or compact state eligibility
• Minimum 1 year of Cardiac Telemetry, PCU, or ICU nursing experience
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NIHSS certification required
• Must be available to work full-time hours including 3 weekend shifts per scheduling period; subject to floating to areas of demonstrated competency

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech electronic documentation system
• Familiarity with equipment including Alaris IV pumps, temporary pacemakers, wound vacs, bladder scanners, and telemetry monitors
• Experience in a fast-paced cardiac unit environment
