Line Cook

We are looking for a Line Cook to join our dynamic team for long term purposes. We offer a bonus after six months of continued employment.

Job Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for the preparation and execution of all menu items according to Bobby’s Pizza recipes and quality standards. This role requires the ability to work in a high-heat, fast-paced environment, specifically focusing on the cook station, fryers, and prep work, including slicing of meats and cheeses.

Pay

Primary Responsibilities

• Station Setup & Breakdown: Preparing the "line" with fresh ingredients (cheeses, sliced meats, vegetables) and ensuring the station is cleaned and sanitized at the end of each shift.
• Short-Order Cooking: Operating fryers for appetizers (wings, mozzarella sticks) and preparing hot subs or pasta dishes as ordered.
• Quality Control: Ensuring every order meets Bobby’s standards for presentation and temperature before it is sent out.
• Food Safety: Maintaining a clean workspace and adhering to Florida health department regulations regarding food storage temperatures and cross-contamination.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: Prior experience as a Line Cook in a high-volume restaurant is highly preferred.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods (8+ hours) and work in a hot kitchen environment near a stove.
• Pace: Ability to remain calm and efficient during "rushes" (typically Friday and Saturday evenings).
• Availability: Flexibility to work nights and weekends, as Bobby’s is open until 10:00 PM most nights.
• Teamwork: Strong communication skills to coordinate with "Front of House" staff and delivery drivers.

We are a small Mom and Pop Pizza shop with a lovely menu with a lot of selections.
