Location: Tampa, FL
Schedule: 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Compensation: $25–$40/hour
Parking: Available, 80% paid by client

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Paralegal to support Patent and Trademark Prosecution and Intellectual Property Transactions Practice. This role involves hands-on support for attorneys in managing prosecution timelines, filings, and IP-related transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with patent and trademark prosecution, including electronic filing of U.S. and PCT applications and responses.
• Prepare and file IDSs, assignments, prior art references, and other supporting documents.
• Maintain and operate the docketing system, including tracking prosecution deadlines, annuities, and maintenance filings.
• Generate docket reports for attorneys and ensure compliance with deadlines.
• Support attorneys during M&A transactions and technology licensing negotiations.
• Communicate with clients, vendors, USPTO personnel, court staff, experts, and attorneys as needed.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of paralegal experience in intellectual property and litigation within a law firm environment.
• Strong computer proficiency and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and support staff in a team-oriented environment.
