Production Supervisor

Position Summary The Production Supervisor leads daily plant operations, directing a production team to meet output goals while enforcing strict safety, quality, and food safety standards (SQF, HACCP, GMP).

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Development: Coach, train, and manage line staff; set daily objectives, monitor performance, and provide continuous feedback.
• Production & Operations: Coordinate floor activities, ensure timely completion of paperwork, and communicate shift updates across departments; respond to after-hours critical calls as needed.
• Food Safety & Quality Compliance: Enforce HACCP, SQF, GMP, and sanitation schedules; perform quality checks, report security/tampering risks, and immediately escalate non-conforming products.
• Safety & Environment: Maintain a clean, compliant, and hazard-free workplace; adhere to safety policies and pest management controls.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience & Education: Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) plus 3+ years of production supervisory experience in food or consumer product manufacturing.
• Skills: Strong leadership, conflict resolution, and communication abilities; proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Physical & Working Conditions: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders up to 100 ft, and work in noisy, dusty environments near moving machinery and variable temperatures.
