Job Responsibilities
- Assist with the loading and unloading of cabinets from delivery vehicles.
- Ensure cabinets are handled safely and securely during transport and delivery.
- Follow scheduled delivery routes and timelines to ensure timely delivery.
- Communicate effectively with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns.
- Inspect cabinets for any damage or defects prior to delivery and report issues as necessary.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of delivery vehicles and equipment.
- Adhere to company safety policies and procedures during all delivery operations.
- Collaborate with team members to resolve any delivery challenges or obstacles.
- Update delivery logs and documentation accurately for each delivery assignment.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in towing and backing up trailers.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of safety and handling procedures.
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including weekends.
- Experience in furniture delivery or similar roles is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret delivery schedules and maps.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate delivery equipment such as dollies and hand trucks.
