Warehouse Supervisor

Job description:

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse operations, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate and manage a team of warehouse staff.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage a team of warehouse staff, including warehouse workers, sorters, and other support staff
• Coordinate and oversee daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment
• Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity, and safety
• Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, including inventory levels, shipping and receiving rates, and order fulfillment rates
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide coaching and guidance to warehouse staff
• Develop and implement training programs to improve warehouse staff skills and knowledge
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations, and maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment
• Perform other warehouse duties as assigned, including filling in for absent staff and covering breaks

Requirements and Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse or related role, demonstrating a successful track record of meeting performance targets.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, essential for effectively managing warehouse operations and personnel.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a dedicated focus on achieving results and meeting deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
• Comprehensive understanding of warehouse operations, including proficiency in inventory management, shipping, and receiving procedures.
• Proven ability to motivate and manage a team of warehouse staff, fostering a positive work environment and maximizing productivity.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously to ensure efficient workflow.
• Physical capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods, fulfilling the demands of the job while adhering to safety protocols.
