HVAC Technician
Job Location: Orange County, Los Angeles County & Inland Empire, CA
We are seeking an experienced and dependable HVAC Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of hands-on HVAC experience and be highly skilled in both service/repair and installation of residential and/or commercial HVAC systems.
This position is ideal for a well-rounded HVAC professional who is comfortable traveling throughout Orange County, Los Angeles, and the Inland Empire and can confidently diagnose problems, perform repairs, install new equipment, and provide excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems and equipment.
- Perform heating and air conditioning system installations, replacements, and change-outs.
- Install, service, and repair furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, air handlers, thermostats, ductwork, and related HVAC equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections.
- Accurately identify system issues and recommend appropriate repair or replacement options.
- Read and interpret equipment specifications, wiring diagrams, and installation requirements.
- Properly install and commission HVAC equipment according to manufacturer specifications and applicable codes.
- Test systems to ensure proper operation, efficiency, and safety.
- Maintain accurate service and installation records.
- Communicate professionally with customers and clearly explain equipment issues, repairs, and recommendations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable local, state, and industry codes.
- Travel to customer locations throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County, and the Inland Empire.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of professional HVAC experience.
- Demonstrated experience in both HVAC service and installation.
- Strong knowledge of residential and/or commercial heating and cooling systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration-related issues.
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and use HVAC diagnostic tools.
- EPA certification required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift HVAC equipment and materials and perform physically demanding work as required.
- Comfortable traveling throughout the OC, LA, and IE service areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with HVAC system replacements and full installations.
- Experience with heat pumps, furnaces, air conditioners, air handlers, and package units.
- Experience with ductwork, refrigerant charging, evacuation, and system commissioning.
- NATE certification or other relevant HVAC certifications.
- Experience in residential service, light commercial, or commercial HVAC.
- Strong knowledge of California HVAC requirements and applicable building codes.
