Job Description
To receive incoming common carrier truck shipments, other than raw materials and to prepare products to be shipped by truck.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Stage trucks for outbound shipment for 1 to 2 customers.
2. Load Trucks based on customer requirements.
3. Ensure all paperwork is correct for trucks
4. Print Labels and BOLs
5. Returnable packaging, sorting and staging
6. Assist Inventory Control and Assembly to pull components
7. Wrap pallets
8. Other functions as directed by Supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Be able to work overtime on a weekend and/or daily basis.
2) Stand most of the day.
3) Be able to safely drive a forklift.
4) Lift, move, and stack boxes. This requires bending and reaching. Boxes typically weigh up to 25 lbs. Work can be repetitive.
5) Be able and willing to use a computer.
6) Fluent in English
7) Adequate vision to detect defects. Normal color perception.
8) Work in a hot environment consistent with summer weather.
9) High school diploma or G.E.D.
10) Work at a pace sufficient to meet “just in time” requirements.
11) Some assignments may require heavy lifting, such as putting away paint.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical information.
