Construction Laborer (60-Hour OSHA Required)

Express Employment Professionals are assisting a busy, growing construction company based in Brooklyn seeking reliable and hardworking Construction Laborers to join our team. In this role, you will play a critical part in keeping our job sites safe, organized, and running on schedule. You will work directly alongside our skilled tradesmen, site supervisors, and project managers on various commercial and residential projects throughout the borough.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare construction sites by clearing obstacles, hazards, and debris.
• Load, unload, and safely distribute building materials across the job site.
• Assist carpenters, masons, electricians, and other specialized trades with daily tasks.
• Operate a variety of hand and basic power tools following strict safety guidelines.
• Erect and disassemble scaffolding, barricades, and temporary structures.
• Maintain a clean and compliant work environment, ensuring all end-of-day site cleanup is completed.

Required Qualifications

• Safety Certification: A valid 60-hour OSHA / SST certification is strictly required for this position.
• Experience: Previous experience in construction, demolition, or heavy general labor is strongly preferred.
• Physical Capability: Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and perform heavy physical labor for extended periods, including lifting and carrying 50+ lbs.
• Work Ethic: Punctual, dependable, and capable of working well within a team environment.
• Location/Travel: Must have reliable transportation to report to various job sites in and around Brooklyn.
