Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Career Strategies is hiring an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for a 198-unit apartment community in Omaha, NE. We are seeking a dependable, skilled maintenance professional who takes pride in quality work, responds well to resident needs, and can help keep the property running smoothly and efficiently.

This is a great opportunity for someone with 2–3 years of residential or multifamily maintenance experience who is comfortable performing general repairs, unit turns, and day-to-day maintenance service requests.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
• Perform general maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant units
• Assist with unit turns, including punch work and make-ready tasks
• Troubleshoot and repair issues involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and carpentry
• Support preventive maintenance efforts across the property
• Help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and cleanliness of the community
• Communicate effectively with property staff, vendors, and residents
• Follow company safety procedures and property standards

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of apartment, residential, or multifamily maintenance experience preferred
• Working knowledge of:
• Plumbing
• Electrical
• HVAC
• Appliance repair
• Unit turns / make-ready work
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities throughout the day
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Professional attitude and commitment to customer service
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required
• HVAC certification /EPA certification is a plus and CPO Certs a plus
