Research Technician

Research & Development Prototype Technician

The Bradley Group is seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined individual to join our Research & Development team. This role involves building and testing furniture prototypes using a variety of materials, tools, and fabrication methods.

Responsibilities:

• Build and assemble furniture prototypes from drawings, sketches, and concepts
• Use hand and power tools to fabricate and modify components
• Perform basic welding and metal fabrication
• Cut, bend, drill, and punch metal tubing and sheet metal
• Build wood frames and furniture components
• Assist with prototype testing and product improvements
• Maintain a safe and organized work area
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product development staff

Qualifications:

• Experience with hand and power tools
• Basic welding and metal fabrication skills
• Woodworking and assembly experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read measurements and basic drawings
• Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred:

• Experience in furniture manufacturing, prototyping, or product development
• MIG welding experience
• Experience working with wood, steel, and upholstery components
