Route Driver-CDL

Purpose: 

Responsibilities: 

Safe Operation: Safely operate and maneuver commercial delivery vehicles to transport beverages to designated retail locations. Follow predetermined delivery routes and schedules, ensuring on-time and accurate deliveries while adapting to various traffic and weather conditions. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies to ensure the well-being of yourself, other road users, and the cargo. 

Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload beverage products utilizing proper handling techniques to prevent damage or breakage. May stock beverage products and maintain back rooms/back stock areas as requested by the store or management. Pick up and return pallets, shells, and assigned product at each delivery location. 

Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify and report any maintenance or safety issues. 

Documentation and Tracking: Utilize electronic devices or paper documentation to confirm deliveries, track inventory, and maintain accurate records. Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure accurate inventory counts and resolve any discrepancies. Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatchers to provide updates on delivery progress, delays, or issues. 

Vehicle Maintenance: Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle, both internally and externally. 

Customer Interaction: Interact professionally with store personnel and establish positive relationships with store managers and staff. 

Training and Meetings: Complete all assigned training and attend meetings as assigned. Assist with special projects and events. 

Requirements: 

High School Diploma (or GED) and/or equivalent degree/certificate required. 

CDL-A License required. 

Interstate License required. 

Ability to drive manual transmission preferred. 

Must be at least 21 years of age. 

Driving record must meet SEB Pepsi’s vehicle policy requirements. 

Ability to work weekends and holidays as directed by the business; flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, routes, and delivery demands. 

Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; physical capability to lift and move heavy beverage cases repeatedly throughout the day.
