Plumber Helper

We are seeking a Plumber Helper.

In this role, you will assist experienced plumbers with installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various construction sites. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in construction plumbing, mechanical knowledge, and safety protocols. The Plumber Helper position offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills in a dynamic environment while contributing to essential building projects. All work performed will be compensated accordingly, emphasizing the importance of safety, precision, and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed plumbers with the installation and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
• Support the reading and interpretation of blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
• Handle hand tools, power tools, and pipe threading equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites.
• Help with pipe installation, cutting, fitting, and assembly according to building codes and project specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols related to welding, power tool safety, and site hazards.
• Assist in troubleshooting plumbing issues and performing routine maintenance or repairs on existing systems.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project deadlines are met while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Follow all safety procedures and regulations to promote a safe working environment for yourself and others.
• Support remodeling projects by assisting with carpentry tasks related to plumbing installations.
• Participate in field service activities that require interpreting technical schematics and executing precise plumbing tasks.

Experience

• Previous experience in construction or plumbing-related roles is preferred but not mandatory; on-the-job training will be provided.
• Familiarity with construction site safety standards, building code compliance, and blueprint reading is highly desirable.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading, and pipe installation techniques is advantageous.
• Basic math skills are necessary for measurements, calculations, and interpreting schematics.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems related to plumbing maintenance and repair enhances job performance.
• MUST be able to pass a background check.
• MUST be able to pass a drug test.
• MUST have a valid driver's license.

Pay rate: $18 to $25 an hour, based on experience.

Schedule: Monday - Friday. 7 am to 5 pm.
