PT 2nd Shift Housekeeper - must have experience in congregate settings

We are looking for a candidate with experience in congregate settings (nursing homes, hospitals, hotels, etc.)

• Maintain proper care for different floor surfaces by stripping, waxing, sweeping, mopping,

buffing, vacuuming, shampooing and other related floor care needs throughout

the facility.

• Keep entryways and courtyard free of debris.

• Dust, sweep, move, mop and vacuum in assigned dining areas to include table bases, chairs

and chair legs, wall and flat surfaces.

• Assure that daily cleaning schedules are followed as closely as possible.

• Clean light fixtures, vents, windows, doors, walls, window tracks, screens and

baseboards, etc.

• Clean public restrooms thoroughly.

• Clean elevators and elevator tracks.

• Empty, clean and reline all wastebaskets in assigned areas with a spare bag underneath.

• Clean all assigned areas along corridors and in stairwells, including handrails and

push bars on doors, door glass and wall objects.

• Clean water fountains.

• Keeps supplies filled such as paper towels, toilet tissue, soap, gloves, etc.

• Change divider / window curtains as needed.

• Assist with cleaning of residential units, as necessary.

• Assure that work/assignment (including janitor’s closet) areas are clean and that equipment,

tools, supplies, etc. are properly stored at all times, as well as before leaving such areas for

breaks, meal times and at the end of the day.

• Assure that established infection control and universal precautions practices are

maintained when performing housekeeping procedures.

• Keep work/assignment areas free of hazardous objects such as protruding mop/broom

handles, unnecessary equipment, supplies, etc.

• Alert others of unsafe conditions by use of wet floor signs, blocking traffic areas, cords, etc.

• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using

equipment and supplies.
