Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Special Procedures for a Cath Lab requiring CRT, fluoroscopy certification, and 1-2 years of Cath Lab experience.
Details
- Cath Lab unit performing cardiac and vascular radiographic examinations
- Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- On-call required approximately 6-7 days per month, including one weekend per month
- Performs active radiographic interventional procedures using sophisticated cardiovascular imaging equipment
Requirements
- 1-2 years of Cath Lab experience required, minimum 3 years preferred for specialty consideration
- CRT and Fluoroscopy certification required
- RT license in state of practice required, license required if applicable
- BLS certification from an approved vendor required
- ARRT certification preferred
- Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/experience required, Bachelor's Degree in radiologic technology preferred
- Cerner and EPIC experience must be noted if applicable
Additional Information
- Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce contrast-enhanced radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterization
- Positions and immobilizes patients using head and shoulder braces following specified protocols
- Assists physicians with specialized procedures and exams
- Enters technical imaging factors and filming sequences per protocol
- Manipulates x-ray tube and examining table position per physician instructions
- Initiates automatic contrast injections and activates fluoroscope and cinefluorography equipment to guide catheter placement
- Provides patients with procedure explanations and discharge instructions
- Monitors multichannel data analysis system for blood pressure, cardiac output, and respiration during procedures
- Alerts physician to changes in patient condition during imaging
- Accepts local candidates at the same rate as travel candidates with no radius rule
- Candidates with more than 5 days of requested time off will not be considered
- Candidates with a prior licensure action will not be considered
