Assignment DurationThis is a 13-week contract position.
ScheduleMonday - Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with weekend rotation.
Job DescriptionThe Physical Therapist I/II / Advanced Physical Therapist I/II provides quality physical therapy services primarily to a Native American population for the treatment or prevention of physical disability or disease. This role is responsible for managing and implementing the Physical Therapy program, which includes:
Responsibilities- Provision of physical therapy evaluation and treatment for inpatients and outpatients, ages ranging from birth through geriatric.
- Delivery of specialty services such as wound care, prosthetic and orthotic clinic, geriatric clinic, high school clinic, functional clinic, spinal cord clinic, and assistive technology/adaptive equipment evaluation/treatment.
- Management of the Durable Medical Equipment Prosthetic Orthotic Supply Program.
- Assumption of direction and development of the physical therapy section to include continuing quality improvement, risk management, and safety.
- Preparation for Joint Commission accreditation and participation in staff education and reporting, including staff meetings and in-services.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from a Commission of Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) accredited school of Physical Therapy.
- License: Must possess a valid, current, full, and unrestricted license in any state within the United States, District of Columbia, or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.
- Certification: Must have and maintain a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the American Heart Association.
- Experience: At least 3 years of experience as a licensed Physical Therapist, with outpatient experience required.
- Additional Credentialing: Must meet requirements to be credentialed to serve on the Medical Staff.
