Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a Long Term Care setting, requiring 1+ year of PT experience and MA state licensure.
Details
- Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting within the Physical Therapy unit
- 8-hour day shift schedule
- No weekend or on-call requirements
- 13-week assignment
Requirements
- MA state PT license required
- 1+ year of PT experience required
- LTC or Rehab setting experience required
- New graduates accepted if Level II clinical experience was completed (Level I observation experience alone not accepted)
- License required if applicable
- One professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care needs
- Develop and adjust individualized plans of care using standardized assessments and evidence-based practice
- Administer treatments including manual techniques, ambulation training, therapeutic exercise, modalities, and use of supportive/assistive devices
- Provide consultation and education to patients, families, and caregivers
- Communicate patient progress and treatment plans with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members
- Complete comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain accurate treatment documentation in the electronic system
- Participate in required facility meetings, trainings, and in-services
- Supervise physical therapist assistants, rehabilitation aides, and/or students as needed
- Adhere to APTA standards and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics
- Maximum RTO request of 5-7 days depending on facility
