Pet Care Needed - Now Hiring

She has a spot of fur that is matted and she won't let me brush it out or shave it off. It doesn't seem to cause day-to-day discomfort but if I touch the area, she gets a bit agitated. She is a little overweight and can't reach the area above the base of her tail. She is typically a sweet cat if you let her do her own thing, but being handled for longer than a couple seconds is a different story, and that's nothing new with her but it makes it a bit more difficult to groom her when needed. She will give you a few warning swats before she brings out the claws and bite if she is held for too long.
