Be part of building something from day one. We're staffing a brand-new health center opening this December in Pampa, TX, and we're looking for two Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants to help launch it. This is a true ground-floor opportunity: you'll help shape how this site runs from its very first patient, combining occupational health and family medicine in one dynamic role.
Housing: On-site housing available for new hires living more than 30 miles from the location
Position Details
- Position Type: Full-time, project-based role tied to an anticipated 3-5 year initiative, initial contract term 11/2/2026–2/1/2027, with strong potential to extend based on need
- Hours: 36-40 hours/week; both 10-hour and 12-hour shifts under consideration, across potential first- and second-shift options
- Schedule: Still being finalized as the site prepares to open; candidate availability and preference will help shape the final structure. May include weekend work, including Saturdays
- Location: Pampa, TX (onsite)
What You'll Do
- Conduct physical exams, preventive health assessments, fitness-for-duty evaluations, and return-to-work exams
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, CDC, and other applicable clinical and occupational health standards
- Perform clinical procedures including injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management
- Provide evidence-based care to injured workers, supporting recovery and return to meaningful work
- Develop individualized care plans and monitor patient progress
- Implement and monitor transitional duty and return-to-work programs
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe or recommend treatment as appropriate
- Educate patients on treatment plans, preventive care, and overall well-being
- Collaborate with physicians, medical leadership, care teams, and client stakeholders on case management
- Partner on health promotion, medical surveillance, ergonomics, and workplace safety initiatives
- Refer patients to specialists as needed
- Maintain accurate, complete clinical documentation
- Coach and mentor nursing staff on clinical best practices
- Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring
- Current RN and Nurse Practitioner (or PA) licensure in good standing
- State prescriptive authority, federal DEA license, and state narcotic/controlled substance license or NY ROPES registration, as applicable to your state
- Current national certification (ANCC or AANP for NPs)
- Master's degree in Nursing (or equivalent, with transcripts if needed) for NP candidates
- Current BLS certification; ACLS may be required depending on scope
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, or emergency medicine
- Occupational health certification (COHN/COHN-S/CM) preferred
- Experience with site visits and workplace hazard mitigation is a plus
