Job Summary:
Interventional Radiology (IR) Technologist in a hybrid operating room environment. This position involves supporting neuro and vascular procedures, including diagnostic cerebral angiography, stroke interventions, embolizations, coiling, flow diversion, aneurysm coiling, vascular stenting, EVAR/TEVAR, TCAR, limb salvage, dialysis access interventions, and thrombectomy. The role requires a highly skilled professional comfortable working in a fast-paced hybrid suite and the operating room, with a focus on neuro and vascular cases.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days shift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week
- Required Qualifications: Valid certification in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARTT), Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Kentucky state license, and at least 1 year of relevant experience
- Preferred Qualifications: Voluntary Interventional (VI) certification, strong neuro and stroke intervention background, experience with embolization and coiling procedures, scrubbing/assisting, circulating, equipment operation, tray setup, and level 1 trauma experience
- Float: Float rotation may be required between the hybrid suite and other procedural areas
- Additional Information:
- Orientation: 2-week unit orientation, depending on experience
- Support within the Department: Receptionist, Supervisor, Manager
- Technology/Equipment: Cerner Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Plum ICU Medical IV Pumps, Phillips monitors, Siemens Aris Icon Biplane (required)
- Orientation (facility and unit): NEO (New Employee Orientation)
- Scheduling: Weekend rotation as needed based on unit requirements; on-call shifts as scheduled and discussed during second interview
- Holiday Expectations: Based on unit need
- RTO Approval: Nurse Manager approval required
- Scrub Color: Provided
