Description
American Traveler seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist for a Long Term Care facility, requiring CCC certification, MO licensure, and prior LTC/SNF experience.
Details
- Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting within the Speech Language Pathology unit
- Monday through Friday, 8-hour day shifts with flexible but consistent start times between 6AM and 10AM
- No weekend work required unless a holiday falls within the workweek, in which case hours may be made up on the weekend
- No on-call requirements
- Group therapy sessions permitted to support productivity
- Dedicated device provided for documentation
- Caseload may include 10-14 patients per day depending on evaluation volume
Requirements
- Active CCC-SLP certification required
- MO state license required (license required if applicable)
- Compact license accepted
- Minimum 1 year of SLP experience required; new grads accepted if Level II clinical experience was completed
- LTC or SNF setting experience required
- 3 years of experience holding active CCC preferred
- At least one professional reference required for consideration
Additional Information
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders
- Develop individualized plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practice interventions
- Assess and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, and caregivers
- Communicate regularly with supervisors and interdisciplinary team members regarding patient care
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries per regulatory requirements
- Accurately document treatment minutes and maintain patient records in the electronic documentation system
- Participate in required meetings such as patient care conferences and utilization reviews
- Attend facility and company training sessions as required
- Supervise and support CFY or student Speech-Language Pathologists as needed
- Maintain adherence to ASHA and state practice acts, codes of conduct, and ethics
- Up to 5 days of requested RTO may be accommodated
