Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.
• ADN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Two years of strong cardiac/tele experience and 1 travel assignment required.
Required Credentials: Associate degree or certificate required.
Unit Details: Patient population includes post-cardiac procedure patients (heart cath, ablation, pacemaker), A-fib RVR, ESRD, CHF, sepsis, tracheostomies, nephrostomy tubes/CBI/renal biopsy, and behavioral health/detox. Expected skills include tele/12-lead EKG interpretation, recovering heart caths (femoral/TR bands), PIV insertion, chest tube/indwelling drain management, drip management (cardizem, amio, heparin, lasix, protonix), CBI, detox/CIWA protocol experience, and central line care. Ratios: Days 1:4-5; NOCs 1:6-7; charge nurse takes a patient assignment. Teaching hospital; may require precepting of students and new hires.
Shift & Scheduling: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. Every other holiday. Flexible contract hours: 48 per week upon request.
Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Midtown (IN) campus, 8 miles away, and potentially to Deaconess Henderson (KY), 11 miles away. 2 hour notice is given for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float within the same campus; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months
1 Manager reference required from within the last 12 months
