Shift: 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 2 years of Medical Surgical Oncology experience.
• 3 months of travel experience is required.
• Experience with Epic is required.
• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.
• ADN completion required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Indiana license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role may require floating to additional units and locations
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >40 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Declinations not accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: SimpliFi Program - Deaconess Health.

Additional Details:
Required Skills/Experience: Recent Epic experience required.
Required Credentials: Associate degree or certificate required.
Unit Details: Complex Med/Surg and oncology population with GI, GU, and general crossover. Common skills/procedures include PIV insertion, chest tube and indwelling drain management, CBI, stable drips (heparin, lasix, protonix), epidural management, PEGs/NGs, ostomy care, post-Whipple patients 24-28 hours postop, and neutropenic precautions. Ratios: Days 1:4-5; nights 1:5-7. Charge nurse rarely takes patients on days but takes an assignment on nights. Teaching hospital; may require precepting students and new hires.
Shift & Scheduling: Three weekends out of every six-week schedule. Every other holiday. Flexible contract hours: 48 per week upon request.
Floating Requirements: First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Midtown (IN; 8 miles away) and potentially to Deaconess Henderson (KY; 11 miles away). Two-hour notice is given for cross-campus float. Mid-shift float within the same campus may occur; cross-campus mid-shift float is unlikely but possible.
