Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 2 years of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months within the last 24 months (2 years).

• Travel experience is preferred.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

• 12 months of acute care experience with 12 months within the last 24 months (2 years).

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <90 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - MaineHealth.

Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Please upload any certifications or health documents you have to your profile to expedite your on-boarding process.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - IV skills - Telemetry monitoring

Unit Details: - Patient ratios: 1:5 on days, 1:6 on nights. - Uses Plum pumps, Pyxis, Ascom phones, bladder scanner, EKG machine, and Phillips cardiac monitor. - Patient population includes medical-surgical orthopedic, general surgery, and urology patients; common diagnoses include CHF, COPD, and pneumonia. - Pediatric patients may be admitted to the general floor; PALS is required to care for pediatric patients, but it is not mandatory for travelers on the MSU.

Shift & Scheduling: - Every other weekend.

Special Requests: - Travel pairs are not accepted.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 2 years

1 Manager reference required from within the last 2 years

Driver’s license required for submission

Certifications:

• BLS (Basic Life Support)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
