COMPENSATION & SCHEDULE
- $20.00/hour
- Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:30 PM
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist patients and customers with supply pricing, reorders, shipping, product questions, service issues, complaints, and incomplete orders.
- Process incoming referrals and coordinate the delivery of durable medical equipment (DME), pharmacy medications, and supplies.
- Verify insurance coverage and benefit eligibility, obtain prior authorizations, and submit required documentation to Medicaid, managed care organizations (MCOs), and other third-party payors.
- Maintain accurate patient, referral, reimbursement, and authorization information in computer systems and provide documentation to billing for insurance claims.
- Prepare patient supply tickets, track Certificates of Medical Necessity (CMNs), and escalate referral or service issues to the appropriate department.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 2 years of customer service experience with the ability to multitask in a high call-volume environment
- At least 2 years of clerical experience and working knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience working with Medicaid, MCOs, or other third-party payors
- Familiarity with DME, medical supplies, insurance claims, and prior authorization processes
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and customer communication skills
