General Laborer/ Mechanical

This General Laborer/Mechanical position is based in an automotive and distribution environment where basic automotive mechanical skills are highly valued. The role involves physical tasks such as sorting and handling pallets, boxes, and materials, while working in a team-oriented setting using various manual and powered equipment.

Responsibilities

• Sort and handle pallets, boxes, plastic bins, and other materials
• Load and unload shipments and materials safely
• Use manual tools, power tools, forklifts, pallet jacks, and automated machinery
• Perform basic mechanical tasks related to automotive maintenance and repairs
• Support inventory management through inspection and quality control of materials
• Adhere to safety protocols including the use of PPE such as safety shoes and eye protection
• Engage in physically demanding tasks involving lifting (50–75 lbs), bending, stooping, standing, walking, and reaching
• Work effectively both independently and within small to medium-sized teams

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in automotive mechanical work
• Vocational training in automotive or mechanical fields
• Knowledge of basic automotive maintenance and mechanical repair
• Experience in material handling and safety procedures
• Commitment to PPE compliance and safety standards
• Physical stamina to perform demanding labor tasks
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Teamwork and effective time management skills
