Moorpark Grocery Outlet is looking for a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Part-Time Cashier to join our team!

As a locally owned and operated Grocery Outlet, we take pride in providing our customers with great deals, a clean and welcoming store, and excellent customer service. Our cashiers play an important role in making sure every customer leaves with a positive experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner
• Accurately scan and ring up customer purchases
• Handle cash, credit/debit, EBT, coupons, and other forms of payment
• Bag groceries carefully and efficiently
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers when needed
• Keep the checkout area clean, organized, and stocked
• Assist with stocking, facing, cleaning, and other store duties as needed
• Follow store policies regarding cash handling, customer service, and safety
• Help promote store specials, promotions, and community fundraising programs
• Work cooperatively with managers and fellow team members

Qualifications

• Previous cashier, grocery, retail, or customer service experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person
• Friendly and positive attitude
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Dependable and punctual
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Able to accurately handle cash and basic transactions
• Able to stand for extended periods of time
• Able to lift and carry grocery items as needed
• Must be willing to help throughout the store when needed

Availability

We are looking for candidates with flexible availability, including some:

• Evenings
• Weekends
• Holidays

Availability and reliability will be important considerations when selecting candidates.
