About the Role:
Alliance Family Care LLC is looking for a friendly and organized Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice in Covington, GA. This is a great opportunity to join a patient-focused healthcare team where your communication skills and attention to detail truly make a difference every day.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients in a warm, professional manner
- Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments using practice management software
- Answer and direct incoming phone calls, taking messages as needed
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and collect co-pays at time of service
- Maintain and update accurate patient records and demographic information
- Coordinate referrals and communicate with insurance providers as needed
- Ensure the front desk and waiting area remain organized and welcoming
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a medical receptionist or in a healthcare front office setting a must
- knowledgeable in medical terminology, insurance verification, and HIPAA compliance
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling software. EPIC preferred
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Compassionate, patient-centered attitude with a professional demeanor
- High school diploma or equivalent required; medical office certification a plus
