Personal Care Assistant PCA/Caregiver

A Personal Care Assistant (PCA) provides essential support to elderly individuals in their homes, helping them maintain their daily routines and independence. Working under the supervision of a registered nurse, the PCA delivers compassionate and reliable care through various personal and health-related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal hygiene and grooming
• Provide medication reminders
• Support client mobility and transfers
• Prepare meals according to dietary needs
• Perform light housekeeping tasks
• Offer companionship and emotional support
• Monitor vital signs and report changes
• Provide transportation assistance for appointments
• Support daily activities to enhance client independence
• Respond promptly to emergencies

Preferred Qualifications

• Entry-level experience in personal care
• High school diploma or equivalent
• CPR certification
• CNA, HHA, DSP, or PCA certification
• Basic First Aid knowledge
• Patient care techniques
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Observation skills and physical stamina
• Accurate record keeping
