We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organized Outreach Specialist to help build awareness, partnerships, and attendance for a growing calendar of events in the Syracuse area.
In this role, you’ll connect with local businesses, community organizations, event partners, venues, media contacts, and prospective attendees to help promote events and strengthen community engagement.

In this role, you’ll connect with local businesses, community organizations, event partners, venues, media contacts, and prospective attendees to help promote events and strengthen community engagement.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and maintain relationships with local businesses, organizations, venues, and community groups.
- Conduct outreach through email, phone calls, social media, and in-person networking.
- Promote upcoming events and identify opportunities to increase attendance.
- Build partnerships with local organizations and potential event sponsors.
- Maintain accurate outreach lists and track communications and follow-ups.
- Coordinate with the events and marketing teams to support promotional campaigns.
- Attend select local events and networking opportunities.
- Identify new community outreach opportunities throughout Syracuse and the surrounding area.
- Represent the organization professionally and enthusiastically in the local community.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable speaking with business owners, community leaders, and members of the public.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple outreach efforts.
- Professional, friendly, and confident personality.
- Experience in outreach, sales, marketing, events, public relations, community engagement, or a related field is a plus.
- Familiarity with the Syracuse community and local organizations is helpful.
- Ability to work some evenings or weekends when events require it.
