Truck Mechanic

CTR Group is seeking a TRUCK MECHANIC for a Chemical Processing & Distribution Company in the Portsmouth, VA, area. An immediate opening and urgently hiring!

A Temp-Hire Position

Pay Range: $25 - $28 per Hour and Benefits.

SUMMARY:

The Fleet Mechanic will ensure fleet reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe operation of all vehicles. Duties include changing alternators, batteries, starters, brakes, etc. and occasionally work on engines. Must have own tools.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Experience as a diesel or heavy‐duty truck mechanic
• Experience changing alternators, batteries, starters, brakes, etc.
• Knowledge of diesel engines, emissions systems, and diagnostic tools
• Ability to read schematics, service manuals, and technical bulletins
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
• Understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards
• Problem‐solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift heavy components and work in various shop conditions
• Own basic hand tools required.
• Must have a good driving record.
