CNC Machinist

## CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist to set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC equipment in a production environment. The ideal candidate will have strong programming and inspection skills, attention to detail, and the ability to ensure parts meet exacting specifications before high-volume production begins.

### Responsibilities

- Set up and operate CNC machines, including mills, lathes, and grinders.

- Upload, enter, and manually edit numerical control programs at machine controllers.

- Write, modify, and troubleshoot G-code and M-code programs.

- Prove out programs by running initial test pieces and making necessary adjustments.

- Verify part dimensions and ensure components meet engineering and quality requirements.

- Perform first-article inspections using precision measuring instruments, including:

  - Micrometers

  - Calipers

  - Height gauges

- Review production drawings, specifications, and work instructions.

- Identify and correct machining, tooling, or programming issues.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

- Follow all company safety and quality procedures.

### Qualifications

- Minimum of 3 years of CNC machining experience.

- Demonstrated experience setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, and grinders.

- Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming and editing.

- Experience proving out CNC programs and inspecting first-off parts.

- Ability to accurately use precision measurement equipment.

- Strong understanding of machining processes, tolerances, and technical drawings.

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

### Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

- Familiarity with CNC controls and machine-specific programming.

- Experience documenting inspection results and making production adjustments.

### Physical Requirements

- Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly lift or move materials and tooling.

- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
