MRI Steel Framing is a manufacturer of cold-formed steel (CFS) studs and track, serving customers across the upper Midwest with other growing markets. Our Inside Sales team is the primary point of contact for customers placing orders and plays a key role in delivering a smooth experience from inquiry through production handoff.

Position Summary

The Inside Sales Representative supports the sales organization by managing customer communication, quoting orders, and ensuring a seamless handoff of orders to production. This role requires someone who is comfortable and confident on the phone, can build strong customer relationships, and brings prior inside sales experience to the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a primary phone and email point of contact for customer inquiries, quotes, and orders
• Work with Sales Department to prepare and deliver accurate price quotes based on customer specifications
• Take incoming customer orders and ensure all details are accurately captured and entered into the order system
• Proactively communicate with customers regarding order status, lead times, and any changes
• Work with production team to ensure a seamless handoff and resolve issues before they impact the schedule
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with existing customers to support repeat business
• Identify opportunities to support outside sales reps with order follow-up and customer needs
• Respond to customer questions regarding product specifications, availability, and pricing
• Maintain accurate customer and order records within the CRM/ERP systems
• Work with Sales and Production Departments to improve processes and streamline flow of commercial activity

Qualifications

• 1+ years of inside sales, customer service, or related experience required
• Comfortable, clear, and confident communicating with customers by phone (required)
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through on order accuracy
• Experience with CRM/ERP systems preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree a plus
• Familiarity with steel framing or building products industry not a requirement but a major plus
• Problem-solving attitude with an eye towards internal process improvement a major plus
  
  Compensation is structured as a base salary in the range of $55K-$65K with a performance-based bonus that typically ranges from 5-10%.
