Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Group Home

Dignity Group Homes, LLC is currently hiring dependable and compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide direct care and support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in a residential group home setting.

We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, responsible, and committed to providing quality care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and support to individuals in the group home.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene as needed.
• Assist with meal preparation and household activities.
• Support individuals with community outings, appointments, and daily activities.
• Administer medications after completing required medication training.
• Follow each individual's ISP, behavioral supports, safety protocols, and supervision requirements.
• Complete accurate daily progress notes, medication documentation, and required household logs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized home environment.
• Monitor individuals for changes in health, behavior, or safety and report concerns promptly.
• Provide transportation when required.
• Maintain individuals' dignity, privacy, rights, and independence.
• Follow all company policies and Virginia DBHDS requirements.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous DSP, caregiver, CNA, group home, or IDD experience is preferred.
• Must be dependable and able to report to scheduled shifts on time.
• Must successfully complete required background checks.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Must be able to complete required DSP training and certifications.
• Must have good communication and documentation skills.
• Must be comfortable supporting individuals who may have behavioral or high-support needs.

Available Shifts

Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts may be available.

Weekend availability is highly preferred.
