About you:
We believe veterinary medicine is truly a team sport and are seeking a candidate who shares that mindset.

The ideal candidate is confident in their technical skills across all aspects of general practice, including anesthesia and anesthetic monitoring, venipuncture, IV catheter placement, dentistry, surgery, drug calculations and protocols, and client education. Equally important are strong interpersonal skills someone who is a positive team player and sets a constructive example for colleagues.

Anticipated Schedule:
This is a Full-Time Position:
5 days a week (Monday-Friday) - 8-hour shifts.
Rotating Saturday is required - 8am-1pm

Compensation:
$23.00-$22.50 an hour depending on experience and skillset.

About Us: Lebanon Veterinary Hospital has been locally owned and operated by family after family for generations. In 2023, we partnered with another local family, Pieper Veterinary, allowing us to expand our services and provide greater access to veterinary care beyond Lebanon.

Pieper Veterinary offers emergency and specialty services throughout Connecticut, while Lebanon Veterinary Hospital remains rooted in the community that has supported us for generations. We believe in neighbors caring for neighbors and working together to help keep pets happy, healthy, and with their families for as long as possible.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of veterinary technician experience; more than 3 years preferred.
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with anesthesia, anesthetic monitoring, medical math, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, and surgical procedures.
  • Knowledge of veterinary instruments, equipment, and materials, including proper use, care, storage, and sterilization techniques.
  • Familiarity with patient scheduling, receiving, and treating patients, ordering medical supplies, and requesting laboratory testing.
  • Comfortable providing tableside assistance and supporting a wide variety of veterinary treatments and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently while also taking direction and contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent client service and communication skills, with a friendly, polite, and compassionate approach to both clients and their pets.
  • Team-oriented and customer-focused, with a commitment to providing high-quality patient care and creating a positive client experience.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older to apply.
