Medical Practice Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Primary Care Medical Practice Manager with 8-10 years of medical practice management or healthcare operations experience to oversee daily operations, staffing, financial performance, revenue cycle, compliance, credentialing, and patient experience.


The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Medicare, commercial insurance, medical billing, revenue cycle management, credentialing, and healthcare compliance, with proven leadership experience. There is a billing manager onsite at the practice.


Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily clinical and administrative operations, workflow, staffing, and scheduling.

Supervise, recruit, train, and evaluate administrative and billing staff.

Manage revenue cycle activities, including billing, A/R, collections, denials, claims, and payment issues.

Monitor billing KPIs, reimbursement trends, and opportunities to improve financial performance.

Coordinate provider credentialing, recredentialing, payer enrollment, and Medicare requirements.

Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CMS, Medicare, OSHA, and federal/state regulations.

Manage budgets, expenses, vendors, and operational performance.

Address escalated patient concerns and improve patient satisfaction and workflow efficiency.

Provide operational and financial updates to executive leadership.

Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, profitability, and quality of patient care.


Required Qualifications

8-10 plus years of medical practice management, healthcare operations, or healthcare administration experience.

Proven experience managing healthcare staff and multi-provider practice operations.

Strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance reimbursement, RCM, Medicare, and commercial payers.

Experience with provider credentialing and payer enrollment.

Knowledge of healthcare compliance and regulatory requirements.

Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Proficiency with EMR/EHR, practice management systems, and Microsoft Office.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
