About the Role
MornstAir Inc. is seeking a Bilingual Mandarin Safety Coordinator to support our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) operations in Phoenix, Arizona.
This role supports day-to-day EHS activities, including site inspections, hazard identification, incident follow-up, safety meetings, and training. The Safety Coordinator will also provide Mandarin-English communication support to help ensure safety requirements and expectations are clearly understood across teams.
This position is well suited for an early-career professional interested in developing hands-on experience in EHS. Candidates from a variety of academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply; prior EHS experience is preferred but not required.
What You’ll Do
- Support routine site safety inspections and help identify and document potential hazards.
- Assist with incident follow-up, safety documentation, and compliance-related activities.
- Support safety programs, meetings, toolbox talks, orientations, and training activities.
- Observe field activities and communicate safety concerns or observations to the appropriate team members.
- Provide Mandarin-English interpretation and translation during safety meetings, training, field communication, and other workplace activities as needed.
- Help ensure safety procedures, expectations, and training are clearly communicated to Mandarin-speaking employees and managers.
- Coordinate with EHS personnel, employees, managers, and site operations on day-to-day safety matters.
- Gather and organize field observations, employee feedback, and practical examples as directed by the EHS team to support Learning & Development initiatives.
- Maintain organized and accurate safety and training-related documentation.
- Support other EHS projects and initiatives as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English.
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred; internship or field experience is a plus.
- Strong interest in workplace safety and willingness to learn EHS requirements and OSHA standards.
- Strong observation, organization, documentation, and follow-up skills.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable communicating with employees, managers, EHS personnel, and project teams.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Comfortable learning LMS platforms and other digital systems.
- Willing to work at or travel between project/job sites as needed.
