Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate urgent care provider (MD/DO, NP, or PA) to join our team across two clinic locations. Our providers see patients of every age must be comfortable covering shifts at both our Baytown and Crosby clinics as scheduling needs require.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, working collaboratively with the broader care team to deliver timely, high-quality urgent care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- See and treat patients of all ages, from pediatric through geriatric.
- Be available to work shifts at both the Baytown and Crosby clinic locations as needed.
- Review patient records, including allergies, problem lists, medications, and immunization status.
- Elicit and document patient medical histories, symptoms, and physical exam findings.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, labs, and imaging to inform patient care.
- Diagnose conditions and determine and prescribe appropriate treatment, medication, dosage, and follow-up plan.
- Perform surgical or minor procedures commensurate with training and competency.
- Refer patients to primary care or specialty providers when needed.
- Follow up on high-risk or emergent cases and outstanding lab/imaging results in a timely manner.
- Advise patients on preventive health, hygiene, and disease management.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR (eClinicalWorks).
- Arrive prepared and on time, and remain until patient care for the day is complete.
- Participate in staff meetings and contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented clinic culture.
Qualifications
- MD/DO: Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine (full-time); minimum 3 years of relevant clinical experience if part-time.
- NP/PA: Current Texas licensure in good standing, with urgent care, family medicine, or emergency medicine experience preferred.
- Comfortable treating patients of all ages in a walk-in urgent care setting.
- Willing and able to work shifts at both the Baytown and Crosby clinics.
- Working knowledge of eClinicalWorks (EMR) or willingness to learn.
- Current CPR certification; working knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and universal precautions.
- Availability to work some evenings and weekends as clinic hours require.

Physical Demands & Work Environment
Regularly requires sitting, standing, and walking, with hands-on physical examination of patients. May require lifting or moving up to 30 lbs. Requires close, distance, and color vision along with depth perception. Clinical shifts may require sustained physical stamina. Typical clinic noise level is moderate.
