Hiring Range: This position's hiring range isanticipatedto be$15.80 per hour to $18.00 per hour,depending on experience, plus great benefits!

Shift: This is a part-time position hours are Saturday 7am-5pm and Sunday & Monday 7am-4pm

Position Summary:The Roadhouse Ambassador is an integral part of our visitor's experience, providing product knowledge and ideas while providing excellent customer service. The perfect person for this role is bright, energetic, and great with customers. This person understands the link between our culture, brand promise, and mission as it relates to the products we promote and sell at the Roadhouse Mercantile and the support it brings to the overall mission of Best Friends.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

• Roadhouse Mercantile Ambassadordemonstratekindness and the Golden Rule in our everyday actions by practicing inclusion and respect for every person for the value they bring to the table. Be a role model for the spirit of authenticity, kindness and positive influence with each other, our visitors, and volunteers as wellas tothe animals every day. This includes listening, being present, being supportive ofothersand demonstrating compassion and curiosity in conflict.
• Orders product andassistsin setting up and taking down Continental breakfast for Roadhouseguest.
• Share product knowledge and answer questions to helpfacilitatepurchases.
• Count cash drawer at the beginning or end of the day to ensure accuracy and adequate change and prepareend-of-day cash deposit.
• Maintain store appearance by keeping it stocked, cleaned, and organized.
• Processmerchandisepurchases, exchanges, and returns.
• Set merchandise displays, and implementation of strategies to increase sales.
• Conduct inventory on a regular schedule. reorder and restock supplies for Mercantile other departments at Roadhouse.
• Support Roadhouse Front desk, Sanctuary gift store and Sanctuary Visitor Experience division as assigned.

• Self-motivated to keep informed of facts about Best Friends news,eventsand informational materialin order toaccurately relay them to visitors.

• Proficient computer skillsa must. Microsoft Office and Google Docs preferred.

• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
