Ready to make a difference as a Paraprofessional in a supportive middle school setting? An opportunity is available for a dedicated individual to work directly with students in the BRIDGES program, which serves those on the autism spectrum and with complex learning needs. This position requires on-site commitment and the ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide hands-on classroom support for a female student with significant learning differences at the middle school level
• Work alongside two nurses, offering assistance with feeding and toileting as needed
• Reinforce individualized learning strategies and behavior plans under the guidance of educational team members
• Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom space
• Assist with transitions, daily routines, and communication between student and staff

Qualifications:

• Current Delaware Paraeducator Permit required (must be in hand; applications pending will not be considered without a portal screenshot)
• Demonstrated experience working with students with autism or complex needs is highly valued
• Comfortable assisting with feeding and toileting
• Ability to collaborate with nursing staff and adapt to students' changing needs
• Willingness to complete state-required background checks, including $85 CBC fingerprinting

Position Details:

• Contract through June 8, 2027
• Monday – Friday, 35 hours per week (8:05am – 2:55pm, half-hour unpaid lunch)
• Onsite role supporting the Springer Middle School BRIDGES program
