The position is available for immediate placement and runs from 7:15 a.m. to 2:15 p.m., offering consistent daytime hours.

Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) and experience interpreting in educational settings
• Previous work as a paraprofessional or ASL interpreter in schools is highly desired
• Compassion, reliability, and a student-centered mindset
• Ability to collaborate with educators to support the student’s full participation in classroom activities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environment

Daily Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 ASL interpretation and paraprofessional support for a student throughout the school day
• Facilitate communication between the student, peers, and staff
• Assist with classroom tasks, assignments, and transitions as needed
• Promote a welcoming atmosphere and encourage student engagement
• Collaborate with faculty and special education teams to ensure the student’s academic and social success
