We are looking for an accomplished Paralegal to support a busy civil litigation practice in Concord, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone with deep experience who can independently drive assigned matters forward while also providing dependable support to a small group of attorneys. The role calls for strong judgment, careful follow-through, and the ability to keep multiple moving parts organized in a fast-paced legal environment.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee case activity from intake through key litigation milestones, helping ensure deadlines, filings, and next steps stay on track.
• Coordinate attorney calendars, schedule case-related events, and maintain organized timelines across active matters.
• Handle discovery-related work, including preparing, reviewing, organizing, and tracking documents and responses.
• Support trial preparation by assembling case materials, managing exhibits, and helping attorneys stay ready for hearings and proceedings.
• Review financial records and other supporting documentation to help maintain accurate and complete case files.
• Proofread legal documents and correspondence to improve clarity, consistency, and overall quality before submission.
• Identify gaps in workflow and introduce practical procedures that improve efficiency and reduce the risk of overlooked tasks.
• Provide day-to-day litigation support for multiple attorneys, stepping in where needed to keep work moving smoothly across competing priorities.• 8-10 years of paralegal experience, with a strong background in civil litigation.
• Demonstrated hands-on experience with discovery processes, trial preparation, and case management.
• Proficiency using case management software and other tools that support litigation workflows.
• Ability to manage shifting priorities and maintain close attention to detail across a high-volume caseload.
• Strong written communication skills, including the ability to proofread legal and financial documents accurately.
• Confidence to communicate clearly and follow up assertively with attorneys and other stakeholders when action is needed.
• Strong attention to detail, resilience under pressure, and a collaborative style supported by a practical sense of humor.
