Commercial Litigation Attorney
Our client, a DTC based commercial litigation firm seeks a 3+ years insurance defense attorney with complex commercial litigation experience, with an emphasis on insurance-related and construction-defect litigation. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting coverage analyses, bad faith, investigating/defending first- and third-party claims, drafting motions, pleadings, complaints, and attending depositions and court hearings in both state and federal court. Excellent researching, writing, and independent thinking skills are essential. Candidates must be prepared to assume primary responsibility for all aspects of the matters on which they work, from pre-litigation analysis and client recommendations through trial and appeal. Trial experience, experience with case management from start through trial, superior drafting of motions/pleadings experience are required for this position. • Active license to practice law and ability to work as an attorney in the applicable jurisdiction.• At least 2 years of litigation experience, with a strong preference for background in insurance defense, construction defect, or complex commercial matters.
• Demonstrated ability to draft high-quality motions, pleadings, briefs, and related court documents.
• Experience handling discovery, taking a lead role in case management, and advancing matters toward trial.
• Familiarity with coverage analysis, bad faith issues, and the defense of first-party and third-party insurance claims.
• Strong legal research, analytical reasoning, and written advocacy skills.
• Confidence working independently while managing multiple deadlines and client responsibilities.
• Trial experience and courtroom exposure in state or federal court are highly valued.
