Sr. Staff Accountant

Our client is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to take ownership of day-to-day accounting operations while collaborating with local management, external accounting partners, and an international finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant who wants greater responsibility and visibility across the business without moving into a Controller position.

Responsibilities

• Manage core accounting functions including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting.
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and support month-end close activities.
• Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, and properly maintained.
• Assist with cash management, payment processing, cash applications, and fixed asset accounting.
• Help improve accounting procedures, internal controls, and audit preparedness.
• Serve as a key point of contact between the U.S. operation, outside accounting consultants, overseas leadership, and international accounting teammates.
• Gradually assume accounting responsibilities currently handled by consultants and administrative staff.
• Maintain and track fixed assets related to showroom and office operations.
• Partner with leadership to provide timely financial reporting and business insights.
• Gain an understanding of product pricing, profitability, sales activity, and margin performance to support decision-making.
• Support ongoing integration of financial and operational data within Salesforce and other business systems.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes and strengthen the company's U.S.-based accounting function.
• Contribute beyond traditional accounting by helping management understand financial impacts related to products, pricing, and business operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a full-cycle accounting role with exposure to:
  • General ledger accounting
  • Accounts payable
  • Accounts receivable
  • Account reconciliations
  • Payroll accounting
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of daily accounting activities.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
• Experience looking beyond transactional accounting to understand the bigger business picture.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across different teams, cultures, and time zones.
• Flexible, patient, and adaptable when working in a fast-paced environment where priorities and information may evolve.

Pay Details: $75,000.00 to $82,000.00 per year
