This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who enjoys helping patients, managing front-end access tasks, and working in a fast-paced healthcare environment. The role includes a rotating schedule that may involve weekdays, alternating weekends, and on-call coverage after training. Candidates with customer service experience and familiarity with healthcare registration systems will be well positioned for success.
Responsibilities:
• Welcome patients and visitors professionally, creating a positive first impression in urgent care and outpatient lab environments.
• Complete registration activities accurately, including demographic updates, insurance verification, and collection of required intake information.
• Coordinate patient access workflows by confirming eligibility, securing authorizations when needed, and supporting benefit-related inquiries.
• Respond to inbound phone calls and patient questions with professionalism, clarity, and a service-oriented approach.
• Use electronic health record and patient access platforms to document activity, maintain records, and support efficient scheduling and check-in processes.
• Assist with billing-related intake tasks by ensuring account information is complete and aligned with organizational standards.
• Support rotating coverage needs, including alternating weekend schedules and on-call responsibilities following training.
• Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to maintain smooth patient flow and timely service delivery.• Previous customer-facing or patient-facing experience is required; healthcare front desk or access experience is helpful but not mandatory.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and internal staff in a busy care setting.
• Experience working with electronic health records or healthcare systems such as Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, or similar platforms is preferred.
• Understanding of insurance verification, authorizations, benefits review, or billing support functions is strongly valued.
• Comfortable answering inbound calls, handling multiple priorities, and maintaining accuracy under time-sensitive conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to protect confidential patient information while following established procedures.
• Willingness to work a rotating schedule that may include weekdays, alternating Saturdays or weekends, and on-call coverage after training.
